Atheism has nothing to do with the origin of the universe or how life on this planet came about or anything, it simply states that you have no belief in any gods and/or deities.

FYI: The big bang theory does not state the universe came from "nothing"... it states the universe exploded from an extraordinarily hot and extraordinarily dense state.

And the enormous amount of radiation released can still be measured to this day.
